celio
Double
Anciently it was not called Celio that’s the current name due to Celio Vibena, an ancient Etruscan leader who conquered the hill; at the beginning its name was MonsQuerquetulanus because of the oaks that surround it. At its feet there is the heart of the archaeological area of the Fori Imperiali that through its homonymous street connects it to Piazza Venezia. The most iconic symbols of Italy and one of the seven wonders of the modern world is the Colosseo which rises in its majestic grandeur.
